I have plastic Peggy Pegs already, and recently bought some aluminium ones for the Isabella windbreak. However, the metal ones are very expensive. Hence I thought I should get some of these instead.
Will gear-buying ever stop???!!!

We're seriously considering buying some of these but it means having to take an impact driver, battery and charger, at a time when we're trying desperately to reduce the volume of stuff we take. But, knocking in pegs with a shoulder injury is not easy, so needs must.
We normally take some 255mm rock pegs, so these are quite a bit shorter at 200mm. If anyone has used them, I'd appreciate reviews please.
Hi All
Just bought 2 boxes of the same screw in pegs from Aldi with the 13mm adaptor included for £7.99 a box, not used them yet so don’t know how strong they are

I thought they were cheap for Blue Diamond ones!
I do not have an Aldi near me, and can't remember reading about them in their FB page.

Lets not get too precious over brands here, fundamentally they're just bog standard 'coach screws' available from countless DIY outlets at circa £0.30 each, but with a plastic 'hook' fitted to make them into a 'tent peg'!
I've used Lidl/Aldi versions for a few years now on my caravan awning, in fact they've become my default peg, really can't be asked to faff with hammering in (and struggling to pull out!) anything from a bit of bent wire to a rock peg in terms of 'conventional' pegs. I've got the battery drill (really DON'T need a Impact Driver for typical pitch 'soil/hardstanding'!!!!!) for my caravan corner steadies anyway, so no extra gear needed for me.
Blue Diamond are only a marketing brand, their stuff tends to be quite good, but they are only buying in stuff NOT manufacturing, so no reason why Aldi/Lidl/Et Al shouldn't be of equal quality, in fact Aldi/Lidl goods tend to be rather better than the very competitive price would suggest! If you look at many brands on the market, you will find the case and plastic hooks are identical, the only difference being the brand label on the case, suggesting a common manufacturer (almost certainly in China!).

I totally agree with everything you have said there. I have never been a fan of "brands" anyway as all too often I find that the only thing that's different about "branded" items is the price. As Aldi often sell Blue Diamond stuff anyway I wouldn't mind betting the pegs come from them too. I use Aldi/Blue Diamond toilet chemicals and they are fine.
I use screw-in pegs on my awning now, putting them in with a battery drill that I too use for my corner steadies.

We went to Screwfix and bought coach screws which look identical. Comes in a box of fifty. We also bought washers to fit over the shaft. All for less than £15.
They are probably the same screws as no way would it make economic sense for Diamond to manufacture their own.

I did exactly the same to fix the awning wall fixings to the ground where the hooks on the pegs were a nuisance and not used anyway, large 'penny washers' stop the screw head slipping though the peg down loops.
Hi all again
So for £16.98 for 30 screw pegs with plastic hooks I don’t think I’ve been ripped off as I get the two adaptors as well as the box to keep them all together
Well chuffed with that
Graham
I just happened to need some, Google for some, and the Blue Diamond ones came up with good reviews on Amazon.
As a Prime member I got them for next day delivery as I am off again soon.
I have loads of stainless steel rock pegs from Delta Pegs, however, they need hammering into the ground and I don't want to do that anymore. Don't want to part with them yet as they are works of art IMHO!

Was that before the recent price increase on screws? Prices have gone crazy now: 12 x 200mm coach screws, pack of 25, £32.99 at Screwfix!
My box of Blue Diamond ones with 20 pegs with no 13mm socket cost 17.99 GBP via Amazon with Prime one-day delivery.
