Hi.
Has anyone used a Dreamboat 16 sim (single) on a Decathlon Quechua air bed base? I have the sim and am contemplating the bed base as have seen so many good comments on it but was hoping to find out if it would actually fit my sim before ordering. Dimensions suggest possible not but thought it was worth checking if anyone had got it to work. Thanks
The Dreamboat 16 measures 200 x 77 x 16cm. The Decathlon bed base is 200 x 70cm. The Dreamboat will overhang a bit either side but it's fine (we tried with an Exped Megamat which is about the width of your Dreamboat). Corner elastics hold the mat in place so no problem there for your SIM.
Most people on here swear by the Decathlon bases but we felt there was a bit too much flex, and prefer the SIMs on the floor. But, each to his own. The height boost will be a real bonus for some people.

Those Decathlon bases can inflate really rigidly ... so I've found no flex?
They also provide storage space within ... a great bonus!
The bed sides are rigid when inflated, yes, but the narrow slats don't offer the same solid support to the SIM as the ground, IMHO.
To be fair, we like a very firm bed base and mattress at home too, so it comes down to personal preference at the end of the day.
