I know you are supposed to use a vacuum cleaner to extract the air but will it work with a pump? I have an air beam pump which has a reverse on it to suck air out. The nozzle is a standard one as used for kayaks, tents and air beds. Anyone know if it would work on the vacuum bags? No point in me buying if I can't get the air out on return.
Hi Cabravieja
The last lot of vacuum bags I purchases had a pump included with them & it worked quite well ( must admit I only used it on a few bags to try it out as I only use the bags in out of season storage of bedding ect)
Hope this helps
Graham
we used the vacumme bags when tent camping, no ehu so used the pump for the air beds, ok didnt get quite as much air out as with the hoover but did a pretty good enough job for going home. it wasnt the same make of bags as yours (cheapie asda ones) all you can do is try it out and see if it works and how much air they can get out.
They do a set of travel ones that you roll up and via a one way seal it lets the air out as you roll. We’ve a set and work fine.
Use pac mate for years at home and find them to good quality and work well.
I ended taking the cordless vacuum with me last year OH thought I was mad packing it be it was much easier than the usual roll and squash ritual I go through :D
