My mini desk fridge stopped working but then I remembered I had a mobicool in the loft. I bought it for my car. It says DC only though. Is there an adapter so I can use it indoors in the bedroom?
We'd need to know the model and/or power rating to advise.
Every chance a suitable adaptor is available, but some fridges have a high surge start up current which can mean a fairly hefty and therefore relatively expensive adaptor is necessary!
Really cheap and nasty adaptors often don't last very long as poorly specified and over stressed by the load! - so false economy!
Thank you so much for your prompt reply. In the last couple of hours I have been given one of the little desk fridges which is ideal. I’m going to give the Mobicool a test run in the car to ensure it works and will sell it for a song. My caravan is at the moment sited in my woods in Herts so I’m not running it on the road at the mo.
That's no where near man enough to run MY 12v camping fridge! OP's fridge may be similar.
As I said before, we need detail of specific fridge and/or power requirements BEFORE we can truly advise!
well it ran all of my cool boxes perfectly when at home, including the 3 way one we had that for some reason wouldnt work on 240v but using that would run on 12v dropped from 240v!
