Just came back from a rally and my Coleman was very cold and very huge.

I'm trying to find a down double sleeping bag. snugpak don't seem to do them and big agnus do one.

I need it to split to two singles in case I go alone or need to lend one to a mate. I need down or hybrid to be able to compress it. Thanks

use a normal household quilt ontop of your current sleeping bag, so much warmer

We use two Mountain Equipment bags ( Left and Right Handed zips ) Not sure if they still sell them but might be worth looking. Not down but still compress very well, fairly pricey but very good

Bags used to be marketed by “season”. If that’s still the case, go for 5 season (though it’ll be too hot for summer then). Remember the zip will be the weakest area for keeping out the cold.
And you can do other simple things: it does feel strange to wear a woolly hat in bed, but that’s where you lose heat. I use a hot water bottle at home too, never mind camping.

Snugpak, they're synthetic but offer L/R zipped and have a variety of thermal offerings.
I've used the harrier 10 in the depths of Brecon in the snow.
