I have 2 Cadac Safari Chef HP bbqs. I use one for meat and one for fish/vegetarian/halal. I currently use the Cadac Adapter Set HP to LP Propane POL for one of them to connect to a propane bottle and the small gas canisters EN417 for the other.
I want to connect the 2 bbqs to the 1 propane canister as the gas bottles don't last and are environmentally unfriendly. Great for the odd day trip but.

From an old post I see that I need:
1 x Fulham Gas Hose Nozzle Tee HA414 £3.00
3 x 8mm Quick Release Gas Hose Coupling HA035H £6.90
12 x Jubilee Hose Clip HA819 £0.48
5 x 8.3mm LPG High Pressure Gas Hose HA132 £1.56
Regulator?????
But I'm not sure what regulator I need.
I need to attach the hose to the regulator then connect to the Tee Piece with QR coupling then off the Tee Piece with two more QR couplings so that I can use either one bbq or both or disconnect from the Tee Piece entirely if I need to.
Any standard 37mBar regulator that fits your particular cylinder should be perfectly adequate. Your BBQ, according to Cadac, consumes gas at rate of 130g/hour, double that for 2x BBQs, so 260g/hour consumed, a typical regulator can supply around 1.5Kg/hour, so well within it's capabilities.
As to your splitter set up, you only really need 2x Quick Release couplings on the outlets from the Tee piece (assuming they are the self sealing valved type, the HA035H type listed are), the one on the outlet from the cylinder (before Tee piece) is redundant as you do not need to remove Tee piece to use only one appliance, simply only couple a single BBQ to the outlet from the Tee, the other coupling should remain automatically sealed off.
Apart from the unnecessary cost of a 3rd QR coupling, the more joints you put in any gas supply, the greater the risk of a leak, remember each QR coupling has potentially 3 leak points, the inlet and outlet hose attachment, and the seal of the coupling itself!
I've got a similar set up that I use to power a Gas camping fridge and either a conventional camping stove or a gas BBQ as I need, it works very well.
Thanks for that. Yes I think I'll go with just the 2 QR couplings. The bit that confused me was the need to go from the Cadac High Pressure to Low Pressure. I didn't know if this was a particular kind of regulator as used in the:
Cadac Adaptor Set HP to LP Propane POL 8518-HP 25.00
So would this regulator do the trick with a standard Propane gas bottle:
Reca 37 mbar Low Pressure Propane Gas Regulator Hand Wheel HA344H £5.16
Would you need two quick release couplings? If you always use one of the BBQs when just using one you could connect that directly to the Tee without and quick relase and simply use the quick release to remove the one you are not using.
You would need the two QR fittings if you want a choice of which single BBQ to use.
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
