This made me very happy today, as I had been looking for a small induction frying pan for over 2 years for my van, so that I could fry a single egg without the white spreading over a 22cm frying pan; and more importantly, for heating up a single portion homemade steak sauce without having to use a deeper and larger saucepan!
Small things make me happy!

I bought one from Asda pre-COVID. Use it all the time and love it.
I went to look for one in Asda for over 2 years and have yet to find one that is induction ready.

We had an induction hob fitted when our kitchen was refurbished. We use Tefal Ingenio pans for induction. They are excellent. Alloy with steel bases.
We have non inductive alloy ones in our caravan. They are light and have clip on handles so stack neatly. They are very good and available in French supermarkets at reasonable cost.
We have had them years. Our old kitchen ones went to a friend for his van.

Whats the difference between a regular small pan, and an induction small pan? Does the egg taste different? Does it cook quicker? I'm serious here. Because something as simple as an egg cannot possible have any complications attached, given you can quite literally fry them on any piece of hot iron.

It's not the relationship between pan and food, but pan & hob.
An induction hob is a section of a circuit that is completed by the pan being iron, or iron based, so as to make it magnetic. This allows the hob to firstly detect that the pan is there, then "go red", heat up, and start cooking.
Non-magnetic pans, commonly aluminium, copper etc, simply won't complete the circuit (due to not being magnetic), and the hob will always assume there is nothing there, and hence never heat up!
My 2-burner hob in the van is induction, and I can only use induction-ready pans on it.
Although I have 2 x 22cm induction ready frying pans from Tefal Ingenio range, frying just an egg on one is problematic as the white would spread even if the van is level.
Hence I prefer to use a small 12cm induction ready frying pan to fry an egg.
I suppose I could use an egg ring for frying an egg using the 22cm frying pan.
In addition to frying just an egg, the pan will also be used to heat up my single serving steak sauce for one - I do that at home with my non-induction cheapo small frying pan from Lidl.

It's such a shame that the ridge monkey pans don't work on induction hobs as they really are a game changer when away. I cook lots in mine from eggy Crumpets to microwave rice. I have both gas and induction in my van
