I need to replace the gas regulator on my van, the present one is 30 mb. Will it be safe/legal to replace it with one with 37mb? All the ones on ebay / amazon are 37mb.
Is it a regulator screwed to bulkhead ? If so replace like with like ie 30mb available from your nearest caravan shop. Or is it a bottle top regulator on a campervan that you bought in secondhand from continent ?
30mb is the gas pressure reg for Butane, 37mb is for for Propane,
caravans in the UK have a bulkhead fitted reg rated at 30mb which does both gases.

If you are using a 6kg Calor propane yes just get 37mb pol fitting regulator. If your existing hose is ok then cut off existing regulator just behind ferrule & fit the Calor regulator using jubilee clip. If you want to replace whole hose then cut through ferrule at other end of pipe remove pipe should give you a nipple to put on new pipe with jubilee clip in normal UK way.
I use a Safefill gas bottle.
On the door of the gas locker there is a sticker stating 30Mb, hence my enquirey if using a 37Mb regulator would be. safe/legal.
Safefill is filled with autogas which is propane & bottle has pol connection so ok to use with 37mb propane regulator. You existing 30mb regulator will have the 21.8 lh thread. If you want you can buy a 21.8 thread to pol adaptor & continue to use your 30mb regulator with your Safefill bottle. https://leisurelines.net/adaptor-butane-pig-t---pol-propane-827-p.asp
