Hello everybody,
I have received a nice old trailer some years ago, it's a Nottingham Trailer Centre TA 223 model, it's been parked for many years, and I will like to put it on the road now, I'm in Italy, but I have no documents of it (the owner passed away), and here to proceed they asking the technical specs manual of the company to make a new registration book (hope I call it right), I have contact the company and they can't help as the original company was closed in the 90s.
They don't have any records saved, so the only way may be to find somebody with this specs book saved and have a copy?

I hope somebody can direct me on the right place :)
I don't want to throw it away for affection to it.

Thank you for any suggestion!

As you say, the business is dissolved. I don’t understand what you need the specifications for? I wasn’t aware that a trailer needed to be registered to any official organisation, but I’m only going by a friend in UK who has a trailer - he just hooked it onto the tow bar & that was it. I think his car insurance only needs to know that he has a towbar & tows a trailer, they might have wanted to know the length or weight. But no “specification”.
Someone will correct me & help you out, I hope.

Trailers in most(all) European countries need to be registered hence why the specs are required.

This has been asked on here before, not in this section, again it was an old trailer and I’m pretty sure the poster was unsuccessful.

The only trace or mention of this manufacturer I could find on the internet was this old auction, so unfortunately I'd imagine you will be out of luck

Good luck

Thank you all, yes is about the same trailer on photo here, I think updated as it has a complete aluminum chassis.

Yes in Italy unfortunately we have to register it like a car, and need a technical specs papers in the case the owner registration papers are lost. Those Techincal papers are needed to make a new Italian registration paper with tests....

In the meanwhile I found and e-mailed the company, today name indespension.co.uk. and they checked for records on their old books and nothing, all is lost!

My last hope is that somebody in UK still use this same trailer, it may have some technical papers put away, that I can send copy so they can certify it. Just cross finger!

Hi, I'm still searching for any way to put it back on the road! The only way is to find somebody that have this trailer and have even the technical documents given when it was bought. It's from the 90s.
Nottingham Trailer Center, same identical model of the Indespension Blueline 8x5x6
BLV1585

Or in need of a Blueline as above docs.
I will seriously pay for anybody that can find this for me in UK.
Or I have to throw it away!

Might be worth trying GT Towing in Hatfield UK. They have been around for years and they hire and sell trailers like this. They may have some details of older models. I bought my current caravan from them and have always found them very helpful. Unfortunately for me they no longer deal with caravans, only trailers.

What you need is a Certificate of Conformity to show that it meets the latest EU vehicle law. Quite frankly if the company has been defunct for so many years they probably went out of business before such certificates existed. So sadly it could be something of a wild goose chase.

Thank you Colin!
at David, yes here in Italy they asking the technical docs for making a new registration certificate. Then I will need to buy all new parts (brakes, suspension and tow) because they have to be conform to EU laws.... that is why maybe will be easier to pay to find a plate of a new identical model as indespension or Blueline (as I understand they have bought the old Nottingham trailer company) and attach it to it.
