Collecting her on Friday. First caravan and I’d like to get a door mat in readiness but can’t find measurements anywhere. Anyone got any ideas of average size of a caravan door lol?!

Wouldn't swear to it, but think IIRC most if not all new vans come with a fitted doormat (fixed frame with insert matting), my Lunar certainly has, but it's a chocolate teapot! It's tiny, barely big enough for even my small feet to stand on let alone 'wipe' my feet, and made from a sort of non-woven material that is not very good at cleaning your shoes! Suspect that apart from the dedicated branding on insert, it's a standard bought in item and likely common to many brands of van!
I bought a much larger ordinary domestic doormat that I placed loosely over the fitted one extending over the carpet as well in the 'porch' area (between cooker and bathroom wall) just inside my door, far more effective. Only downside is that I have deep pile carpeting, and where the mat overlaps, it tends to 'walk' sideways, short of screwing it down to the floor, not found an effective solution to that yet, but less of a PITA than all the muck that used to walk in before! So easy to pick up loose mat and shake outside, rather than having to hoover fixed mat and carpets!
Hard to believe that any caravan door is narrower than mine at 47cm! I can't walk straight through it, I have to 'shimmy' sideways to get my shoulders through! But inside between cooker and bathroom wall is 61cm wide, which seemed ample for the standard doormats I looked at if fitted 'longways'.
I'd either wait until you've got your van to measure space available, or buy a doormat that you can cut down to fit if necessary. Layouts of vans and door sizes do vary a surprising amount.

Duh! When we viewed the caravan the carpets were all rolled up in a sealed bag under the bed. When we arrived on Friday they had all been laid including a doormat 😂 x
