We have above awning and require the 2 spacer beams in roof. Outdoor Revolution only have tube replacements but not sleeves. As we require both I'm looking to see if any other manufacturer does beams of a similar size but not having much luck. Would appreciate help if anyone can point me in right direction. Spacer beams are approximately 150cm long when inflated.
Your thinking is quite possibly sound, when you look at awnings from different 'manufacturers' they are difficult to tell apart if it weren't for the branding printed on them, so my interpretation of that is they all came out of the same Chinese factory to an off the shelf design, 'customised' (branded!) for a 'manufacturer'! I have professional insight into manufacturing and Chinese practices, and 'Joe Public' hasn't got a clue how these things work - it's not coincidence they all look so alike!
Now the problem is no one publishes detailed dimensions, so you are largely reliant on an owner of a similar awning kindly measuring theirs for you, and that may not happen.
Alternative is, you measure yours, then troll around awning retailers with demo models erected and see if you can find a match!
A slightly too short beam may be made to work with a spacer 'packing piece'. IIRC, most of these beams just Velcro into place, so a block of hardish foam with appropriate Velcro strategically placed may do the job.
Thanks for that. You're on same wavelength as me my friend. It has been so frustrating chasing different retailers for information. Some were helpful but unable to accommodate and some just didn't get what I was trying to say. Pretty much you needed same manufacturer equipment as you couldn't mix and match. The short beam scenario I did think about and can get 140cm. I need between 145/150cm but what you recommended is exactly what I think I need to do. It will work and not look too out of place. If only Outdoor Revolution kept spares could have saved myself a whole lot of time and stress. Once again, thanks for your comments.
Believe me, none of the companies seem very good at stocking spares/accessories! And generally a lost cause if not the current model!
When I bought my Kampa (now Dometic) awning, I had a devil of a job finding the roof linings! Countless theoretical suppliers, but no stock to be found in most!
