I'm away camping in France. I use a Cadac 2Cook 2Pro and just found my Cadac Powerpak Trio that supplies it is broken (pre trip checks were lacking!).
For each of the valves the plastic tabs that lock the 227g canisters in place have broken off. One of the valves has two left but a single canister cannot supply sufficient pressure. It's four years old and I would not have expected that from a decent brand. But heyho! My immediate concern is cooking for the next fortnight :-)
There are only v. limited camping shops nearby. Does anybody know if the fitting on the Cadac 2Cook is standard and will fit a regulator that I could purchase nearby? Many thanks! Cheers chris
Thanks. There’s a shop nearby that sells regulators (propane and butane) for gas BBQs and suitable small cylinders but no hoses. But as luck would have it I’d completely forgotten that when I bought this stove I bought a few spare gas clips and adaptors and put them in the stove bag “ just in case”. So hopefully enough to connect one of these regulators to the existing hose! Alternatively if it does not work it’s Steak Frites for the rest of the holiday!
The cost of a 5kg butane cylinder including contents ie Le Cube will be north of 50€ add to that a 28mb 27mm clip regulator around 28€. Make sure regulator includes a screw on nipple so you can use your existing pipe & jubilee clip.
Other 5kg bottles like elfi use a 20mm clip regulator. You need 28mb for butane & 37mb propane.
