Can anyone kindly advise what is the correct hose fitting for a CAMPINGAZ GmbH 4330218 Regulator 50 mbar. I wish to run a Campingaz 907 cylinder to a Campingaz Attitude 2go bbq grill using the aforementioned regulator. Am I correct in thinking this takes a 1/4ā BSP left hand thread adapter to the regulator?
Unfortunately, the BBQ itself seems to come with a variety of hose attachments depending on the market it was aimed at, so any new hose needs the correct fittings at BOTH ends, and only you know what fitting your BBQ has!
I've NEVER seen a genuine Campingaz regulator with a threaded outlet (in the UK at least!), they all have a simple 8mm push on nozzle, so it seems your regulator may be another brand, and that throws the question of the outlet thread wide open! The cylinder connection in the photo also certainly does NOT looks like a Campingaz fitment, unless that is a removable protective cap over the thread (which I've also never seen before!)
We can speculate on correct fittings, but little more, as suggested, perhaps better to find a decent Campingaz stockist and take your regulator along with you. It may well be cheaper to by a new regulator with standard stem outlet and use a bare hose than buy a hose with screw fitments!
Couple of points you may wish to know, older CG907 cylinders/refills were pure Butane and only usable down to about 5C ambient, current cylinders/refills are now a mix of gases and usable 'potentially' down to -10C ambient!
Compared to just about EVERY other form of bottled gas, Campingaz is OBSCENELY expensive at nearly £22/Kg and a tiny 2.75Kg capacity, compared with say a Calor 3.9Kg Propane at circa £28 (just over £7/Kg!), you'll also get as little as 15 hours use out of a CG907, compared with over 22 hours with a Calor 3.9Kg. About the only saving grace of Campingaz 907 cylinders is their refill availability across UK and most of Europe, other brands of cylinder are unique to each country and refills not available outside home country.
The Campingaz regulator in picture will presumably be 28mb. That particular one looks like one purchased in France that will have come with nipple fitting that screws on the threaded section so can be used with push on secured with jubilee clip hose or French type screw on hose as in lower picture. There is a 907 bottle adaptor but that has a butane nut thread.
The Campingaz grill as mentioned appears to be intended to be used with disposable cartridge & specific clip fitting. This would suggest that grill has a built in regular so it will not work with 907 bottle that is also fitted with regulator.
None of this helps op though as to make it work he needs a high pressure hose with butane nut thread to go with 907 adaptor & a fitting to connect to grill on other end.
A bit more research appears to find that there is no regulator on stove. So just use 907 bottle with regulator & hose. The only problem might be how you attach hose to cooker. If you can fit a nipple to cooker to fit hose & jubilee clip you are there.
Thanks to everyone with help and advice on my enquiry. Turns out it was simply a Cadac 1/4ā BSP LH Threaded brass hose adapter that was required, which now fitted onto the regulator and works a treat. Thanks again folks Iām cooking in gas 🍔🔥🍳👨🏼🍳 Also thanks to Crowland Caravans & Camping ⛺️
