Hi, those out there with these godsends or other similar models.
I camped with a friend in July - yes it was very hot, even in a cotton tent - and used my 14 year-old Megamats on top of the Decathlon bed bases (the mats are 10cm deep). Fine, no problems, as always, although one has a leaky deflate valve and wants to reinflate but I can deal with that).
I've just garden-camped for almost a week, and the Megamat I've used, has GONE DOWN OVERNIGHT. And that includes putting more air in it, before retiring, as it has deflated duribng the day too. Shock horror.
No audible hissing, and at first I thought I'd caught the deflate valve stopper with the elastic holding the mat onto the base - but no.
I've not yet put it into a bath - saving water - but have explored videos from Exped re repairs, and looked at the valves, and can't visually see a hole anywhere. BUT, at one corner, the fabric has peeled away revealing some shiny thin material and not entirely sure there isn't a small hole there, and am wondering a) if this is the cause of the deflation and b) how to mend it if it is. I have ordered Seam Grip as the glue in the repair kit that came with the mat is no longer functional.
But, after pumping it up to max this morning, OK it's on it's side not strapped to the bedbase like a torture rack, the Megamat is resolutely staying fully inflated.
Any ideas or suggestions, or experience of this happening - especially the strapping onto the bedbase with elastic (the mat that is).
Thinking of adding in some more elastic at the corners, as it might be a bit too tight perhaps. I've used the bedbase happily for 3 years.
TQ

It is out of warranty but I have found Exped customer service to be good when it comes to spares and repairs.
Try a spray bottle full of soapy water and spray round the suspected bit that has delaminated adding pressure. Any leaks will show. The valves are usually quite good.
Then there is the temperature. It will expand in hot weather and that might pop the valve a bit.
Thanks Ewen, mmm, popping the valve as the air expands: now, that seems an option (although it wasn't 'full' to start with). This was in a polyester tent with blackout inner. But, that doesn't quite explain why when I then pumped it up about an hour before bed, it still went down in the night and I'm positive I put the valve stopper in OK. I garden camped during heatwaves last year with no issue.
I might contact the Customer Services as you say - and play with the other one perhaps to compare and contrast. Or play with the squeezy bottle .
