i have been looking for some quite sturdy folding camp chairs, however I find that most available nowadays are cheap and nasty and rather flimsy in construction - almost disposable after one or two uses. i really liked the Coleman pack-away chairs which a friend of mine has, they are sturdy, comfortable and not too low to sit in while still being able to fold fairly small for transport. Unfortunately it seems Coleman have ceased to supply them in the UK and I cannot find any any where.
Are there any around - does anyone know ???
Are there any other good similar chairs around because I can't find them ? !!!!
I'm really glad you posted this prycebuild - I've been looking for something similar, I think the key for me is seat height. I've a hip problem and the camping chairs we've bought (tescos) just crucify me. Really need a good height for comfort , but even the more expensive foldaway chairs seem to have a lowish seat. Can anyone help?
Cheers.

Aldi have some on offer this week (£6.99) I might go and try one out tomorrow, If I do I'll let you know. Recently bought one from Tesco..... broke the second weekend it was used!!!
Cheers Anne, guess I need to work out whether 40cm is OK. (that's the seat height) problem with Argos is I can't really try it out first.. I'll have a gander locally. Only need the one as everyone else is OK with the cheapo ones.

Saw these in Blacks last week and they looked really comfortable, the black parts are padded, so they'll probably keep you bottom warmer (mine gets cold in the evening in our chairs).
SORTED... I don't know if this will suit pricebuild who originally posted, but I found some fab chairs today in Costco. I know I'm becoming a bit of a Costco tart - I don't work there honest!.. anyway they have a folding camp chair which is light, well built, doesn't have that saggy foldaway seat, common to a lot of folding chairs and the cause of all my discomfort. It's French, (downside ?) navy blue and costs £11.40 including the VAT. Seat height 47cm, width 47cm. Yipee.
By the way, I need this because of a hip problem - I found last weekend when we tried out our new Tesco chairs that those type of chairs exaserbate(?) the problem. Added bonus is I'll be able to eat at our new Lidl rollup table without my knife and fork being at shoulder height. Hope this helps someone else.
ps.. wee problem, the chair seems to hae been adopted by son and heir number 1 to play his Xbox!
Lidl have some great folding chairs at the moment for £16.99. Sturdy and lightweight you can use in the upright position or they have 3 reclining positions we bought some a few years ago and they are just like the Lallemand ones but half the price.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
