Having promised myself that I would never need Sky in the van, I have found myself, the last 2 weekends away unable to pick up a tv signal, and Sat Tv has moved up the list of must have toys for the van. Anyone know where I can pick up a Multimo portable dish on the cheap?
What we did was buy a sky dish from e-bay - came with cable, LNB and U-bolt including postage approx £20. We then started looking around for a tripod...
The ones available were all about £50 but by chance found in a camping shop a rotary clothes dryer (sunncamp I think) this comes complete with pegs for the feet, the dish is mounted on the bottom section and the dryer part connects above if needed - very sturdy. £29.95
We got one given us from a row of houses that were being demolished. Paul made a stand using some tubular steel, & like Av & Dave we saw a tripod for a rotary clothes drier in Reads caravans for £7.99. Bobs your uncle & we have TV at the Penrith meet when no one else can get tv. It was the weekend of the big match & all the guys (& ome women)watched the match at "ours".
A day of all things motorhome and campervan. The show is held both in the main indoor arena and across the grounds. Catering, hot drinks and food options are available. Easy access to the site and free parking included. Win one of five pairs of day tickets
