We used our battery powered inflator/deflator thingummy last week (£7.99 from Argos). BRILLIANT! Blew up our double airbed in about 5 minutes (after I realised I'd had the deflator nozzle in..doh! "Huff, puff...moan...IT DOESN'T WORK!!")...and deflated in no time at all...removed ALL the air too. SO handy.... last time we had to struggle with an incar adaptor one in the rain. ..this thing stores away in the corner ready for a quick "top up" if needs be.
------------- Whoever said drinking & driving don't mix wasn't entirely correct. They mix, just not very well, unless you are looking at driving into a wall & not remembering it the next day, then they mix just fine.
Thanks for the heads up on that Spacehopper...I've been looking for something like this, and have seen postings about the 'little yellow Argos pump' but hadn't noticed this one you mention !
I have to avoid yellow at all costs, as where I camp there is a particular beetle (only tiny - about three mill. in length) that just loves the colour yellow. I always cringe when I see a first timer pull their yellow and -insert other colour here- tents out and start to try and put them up. Although completely harmless, these little beggars start to swarm very quickly, and are quite annoying. In fact, my cintronella candle ~(being yellow) doubles as a hot wax bath for 'em when I use it.
Thanks for that info too, Steen. My order for the coleman dual-chamber is the next thing on my list of 'things to buy'. I do love the way this place works. Everyone is so helpful, and some without even realising it !
It's a great bed!
I toss and turn a lot while sleeping, and on our old airbed it used to wake my husband up, but it hasn't been a problem with the Coleman one we now use.
