I was having a quick mooch around M&S last night, and to my surprise they are selling some assorted camping equipment....including tents, cleeping bags, sun canopy (the little half-moon things) and self-inflating camp beds. Quite a shock ! Have had a quick scan on-line, but they don't seem to have much listed, I can only find the self-inflating mats...no mention of tents !?? But they had some at my local (Handforth Dean) store. They had a rating of 190T (I don't know if that's good or bad, but suspect it's quite OK, being M&S...)

Of course, they didn't have the waterproof picnic rug I was actually looking for, but Tesco came to the rescue (at less than a fiver, a veritable bargain!) I also saw that Tesco were doing adult double sleeping bags for £16.00 (I think)

If it's M & S then it must be posh!

I'll just add M&S to the list of stores good for camping stuff that are no use 'cos we haven't got one near here.........Tesco, Lidl, Netto, Big W, Asda, Morrisons, M&S, Jacksons of Arnley..........

You clearly haven't seen the posh food adverts m&s have spent a fortune on then....where they put pretty seductive food on tv and it all looks really dreamy, but costs twice as much as the local supermarket.

As for camping equipment they're just jumping on the bandwaggon of glastonbury etc due to camping becoming the 'in thing' at the mo

You could arrange your next camping trip to an area near to where all those shops are situated and spend your weekend doing the rounds and picking up all the lovely bargains Caz

in the food hall in M&S if you buy six items with red stickers on they will give you the waterproof travel rug for free, you have a choice a travel rug, cool bag, picnic set

its probably why there were none left I think the water proof rug has been the most popular
