Any thoughts on these? I'm pretty good with the sewing machine so could make a couple unless there are some reasonable ones around. Are they worth using?
Have never used them myself but have heard that they make washing easier but sleeping more uncomfortable. As I said though this is third hand knowledge!
Yes deff worth using ,seen as washing sleeping bags just buggers tehm up ,so anything you can do to cut down the amount of times they are washed the better ,with liners you just keep washing them ,saves the bags!!
I got some great fleece ones from lidl for £4.99 ,but they are easy enough to make your self ,just dont forget to put a zip in one side orelse they can be a bugger to get in and out of
We usually use liners in our sleeping bags - the fleece ones really make a difference when it's a bit cool outside. We don't have zips in ours, but quite a large opening on one side - I was probably too lazy to put zips in when I made them several years ago - but they work OK.
If it's a double sleeping bag liner you need, you'll find that a single duvet cover is just the right size Just unpick the sides and sew a zip in each side, leaving a flap to go under the pillow and a flap to turn over the top edge of the sleeping bag. Bought my single duvet cover from Asda at £3.61, plus £1.20 for two 22" zips, so it worked out quite cheap really
I bought sleeping bag liners for £7.99 each from our local camping shop. Unfortunately my kids couldn't get on with them as everytime they turned over they would get the liner all twisted round them. So i now have to wash our sleeping bags.
