Hi,

Im due to go camping at the end of july and have just found out the campsite we are using ( Sandyballs ------ New Forest ) use a gravel hard standing area for the tent. I need to purchase some gravel tent pegs and need any advise anyone can give on where to purchase these and how much is reasonable to pay. Just also read i can hire them from the site but does not say how much. I have a Gelert Satallite 6 tent 2004.

Thanks in advance Darren

Hi Darren - Most camping and caravanning shops sell "hard ground pegs".  I bought a boxed set for about £8 - manufactured by Blue Diamond.  I've also seen them loose 40p each or thereabouts. They look like big nails (about 8" long) with a plastic bit at the top for your guy rope to go round.

Jon.

Follow the link below for Tent Videos Online from Completeoutdoors.co.uk - the one in the middle at the bottom of this page.In their tents & accessories section they have the pegs. However I'm sure any decent camping store will have them too.
