Was in Venice last month for 2 days and saw lots of Japanese tourists walking through San Marco's Square using them to keep in contact.
Well done everyone who managed to buy them, for the rest of us, we'll just have to do with 2 tin cans and a length of string.

Maplins have similar for sale for about £9.99 - with earphones. I don't know if they are exactly the same or not but they looked quite good.
I don't want any -- I prefer silence when the kids are out of ear shot..........mine are 18 and 21 years and they have to get themselves out of trouble. Adult life has to start some time! I think it's about time they bought me an ice cream.

Bought a pair from Argos (Sealand Road - Chester).
Got home before checking my receipt 'cause I bought a few other things too, to find I had been charged £24.95. Went straight back to the store with my Argos reservation number I printed off the internet stating the price of £8-odd.The manager was on his break so wouldn't see us so the poor shop assistant had to keep running upstairs to discuss it with him each time we asked a question. It turns out that the price had gone up to £24.95 on the 18th July. Funny!!!! I had printed out my reservation from Argos website at 10:30pm on the 21st stating £8-odd. The outcome was that the MANAGER had NO AUTHORITY to override a Argos head office price change. LOL! so I opted for a refund.
VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT I HOPE THE MANAGER WITH NO AUTHORITY ENJOYED HIS LUNCH!!!
