Hi
We're just about to buy a second single burner.
We've got a big double gas ring with grill etc but so bulky to pack.
They may be slightly more expensive to run but so much more convenient. Our local 'pound shop' in Cleveleys has them for £9.99.

Another vote for the two single burners - find them brilliant.
You can pop one on top of the other to free up some space for food preparation.
Just remember to pack a couple of spare cartridges, and NEVER use a large griddle spanning the two burners as the heat underneath is likely to cause the gas cartridge in the centre to explode!

Got the Gelert Bright Spark one and was very impressed with the speed of boiling a kettle on it - almost as fast as my electric kettle at home!

We've also got the one from Woolworth with the mini patio heater thingy. We've also got a small backpacking stove which we use along side it for the kettle. This set-up is so versatile and much easier to carry and use, and mix and match, than faffing about with a double stove, pipe and gas bottle.
My Camping Gaz Lagon double stove and gas bottle is now living in the garden, next to my gas barbie as a "summer kitchen", and I've made many a meal out there these last few weeks.

Went looking at the weekend, and I took the other half to show him what I mean. He too was most impressed with them and has given them the thumbs up. I haven't found any at a fantastic price, so am going to have a look around the net over the next few weeks. We are not going away until the bank holiday so I have plenty of time.
Thanks for all the feedback on here, it has really helped
