Hi can anyone help i need some new tent pegs for my dablo 900 as i could'nt get them out of the ground ,it was the v shaped pegs what should i buy to replace them.
if you are replacing pegs then i would go for the rock pegs, as they will go into just about any ground and then you will be assured the pegs will hold, they dont bend around like the cheap ones you normally get but get your self a peg puller for the next time you wont loose them that way
thanks tent mad ,i had a peg puller it broke first time i used it,it was from halfords any ideas on a stronger one? The trouble was the v shaped pegs that came with the tent just bent and there was no way we could get them out of the ground had to bang them in.
I would go for a mixture of rock pegs and also some of the plastic pegs for soft ground. I use claw hammer to get stubborn pegs out - I tried the hook on the bottom of the mallet but it just bent out of shape.

We use Deltas for our Diablo.Every time we pass a amping shop we buy another few.You can never have too many Deltas!
Which shops ?...I didn't know they did retail and I've never seen them in any camping shop that I've been too
Rock pegs, even if made from the toughest material known to man, will not hold the ground. Any conventionally shaped peg will "cut through" soil. The force applied at the top of a normal peg will produce maximum leverage and the minimal surface area available on that peg will offer little resistance to guy tension.
Deltapegs overcome all of the problems associated with conventional pegs.
Thanks Calpyline for your kind comments. We are a small business but we do produce a great product and provide a good service. We would love to have the funds for advertising/marketing that are available to Blue Diamond, Towsure and their like.

I will arrange(from Gelert) for a list of retailers to be made available.
Sorry Stackridge! Talking through my bottom again! We do use Deltas and Steely has now acquired a large number of them .Infact each time we go camping he seems to have got more and I assumed he had got them from our regular visits to the camping shops. However it appears he did actually get them on line! ( I am now intrigued to know what he spends all our money on when we DO "pop into this camping shop"! )

I wish my camping shop stocked deltas, i REALLY want some.
So should i get the long plastic pegs for camping in new forest next week? Last time we went away i lost half my standard pegs as the ground was so hard, luckily i had bought some new pegs for this purpose! I am off to get new pegs tomorrow, should i get more hard ground pegs, plus some of the long plastic pegs too? I will get some more "standard" pegs, as they make a handy back up????

The pegs supplied with the Diablo are rubbish
You can buy stronger v pegs from any camping shop or on-line supplier for a couple of pounds. Just shows how needlessly penny-pinching Vango are being. Get the ones with the little hole at the top for your peg puller.
Or get the Delta ground anchors for even better support when the wind comes up
