Gas is for people who've never used petrol - get the Coleman, it's all you'll ever need and more powerful than the stove at home!!
It's not affected by wind and temperature the same way gas is and it's the only stove powerful enough to run the camping oven - great for jacket spuds!
Costs pence to run as well and packs up really small.
Got back yesterday from 5 days camping. Used my Coleman double burner for cooking all meals except one on as it was too windy for a bbq. Filled the stove with petrol before I went and it lasted till supper on the last night when it ran out and I had to finish off cooking on the single gas burner I take just in case. It must hold about three quarters of a litre of petrol so that cost me what, about 60p for nearly a weeks cooking.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
