Fab, if I had one of those wireless laptop jobbies I'd be a complete addict. I work termtime in a school office, so become more and more addicted each half-term!!
We got those mini adidas shower gels for that very reason!
Another good one is mini kitchen tools. I bought a mini grater (on a handle), mini pizza cutter, mini whisk and mini spatula from Au Naturale. They are like fridge magnets which is ideal cos they'll just stick on the side of the camp kitchen!

Sorry Folks my post does sound confusing doesn't it? I was a bit tired yesterday - another crazy day, been crazy two weeks for all the wrong reasons. OH hurt his hand last week and ended up in hospital - operation this week, and to make matters even better my mother broke a couple of bones in her hand this week.
The sports bottles are from the kids drinks - you know the type cheap juice. I buy these in bulk - 24 for £3.99 from Costco/Makro, and save some bottles. Means I can take a variety of sauces in small enough quantities for a week.

Now THAT makes w-a-y more sense! Phew that'd make the sauces taste much nicer-lol Think that Ketchup a la Addidas might be an acquired taste?
Sorry about your grotty couple of weeks Moonseeker and hope everybody's on the up now! At least you've still managed to chat to your fellow addicts on here.....
My name's hippy chick and I am a ukcs addict......
I always have sachets of sauce, mayo, salt, pepper and those tiny little sachet/cartons of milk, as we only drink milk in coffee, so a handful of those is sufficient for a weekend's camping.
I have also got mini-bottles of Ecover washing up liquid, Source Original shower gels, Colgate toothpastes Sure Deodorant, and tiny folding toothbush, hairbrush and nailbrush, and even some tiny bottles of designer perfumes.
Some of the items have come from freebie in-flight bags (Virgin is best for that kind of gear - even got a micro rubber duck for the bath - lol) and the rest I've had as promo freebies in work. I save them all as they are really small and handy for weekend camping trips.
I send for every free smaple going!! they are all in a large wash bag whenever we got for a weekend ,we just pull a few out ! Hotels are a good source of mini soaps and showergels too!
As for w/u liquid -we bought that flash car wash system and found one the bottle of car shampoo in it was finished it was perfect for w/u liquid !!
I'm surprised that you girlies haven't discovered Lush products. They do bars of shampoo and shower soaps and little tins that are just perfect for travelling. Their newest item is two combined two in one shampoo and conditioner which works even on my thick hair. Check them out if you haven't use their products before
I use the left over little bottles that come in their gifts for washing up liquid and the like. We also use hygeine wipes rather than sprays.
Lush is my favourite! I go in for one thing and come out with a huge bag.
Hippy chick, I have a laptop with wireless connection and it's brill. OH is on the X-Box/Playstation/Nindendo (whichever takes his fancy) and I'm next to him on the settee on UKCS! No longer an X-Box widow!!
I agree with lots of you on here. I also save sachets of ketchup, brown sauce, mayonaise etc. for taking with us. Box wine is so much better than bottles - its easier to pack and you dont need a bottle opener either - that my excuse and I am sticking to it never mind the fact its equivalent to 4 bottles of wine hahahaha
I have put myself together a makeup bag full of all the things I need for the shower and washing including toothbrush, paste, gel, even a brush and perfume - that way I know I have got everything together and wont forget anything - I just leave it packed all the time in my bag I take my clothes in.
I recently bought one of those small organisers from the pound shop and store in it cutlery (which I got cheap) - its easily folded and everything is to hand when you get there, you know where the spoon is for your first cuppa when the tent is up. RayE tells me off because I like to collect gadgets which I think are useful and handy when camping - he will never admit that they are!
Hi .Jo. I brought 4 small bottles from the travel dept.at Superdrug they were £1.40 in a sale I have put washing up liquid, shampoo, conditioner, etc in them, ideal. One of my best little gadgets is a mini gas lighter for 99p, brilliant for the camp cooker.
i lush shampoo bars (and every thing else they sell!!) no conditioner needed.you buy the tin seperate from the shampoo bars (as they have a wide choice) let it dry out between uses and they last for ages, and they smell wonderfull
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
