I've been a little concerned about using other household brands. The instructions re bleach and not using it because it rots the rubber bit worried me. I use toilet duck at home and bleach and disinfectant - does anybody know for certain what is OK to use in Thetford toilets and do no damage?

well we have been doing the same thing for the past 15 years of using porta potties and never had a problem with using the hang on the side type block as the amount that actually disolves in the top bowl is tiny, but just enough to freshen the air around the loo
