Last Thursday whilst camping the temperature drop to 7 Degrees and we were freezing so we have decided to go electric but don't know what heater is best and safest. Any help would be grateful.

I have bought a halogen heater.It cost £10.00 brand new .I think they vary £10-15.It urns like a fan so everywhere gets a blast of heat.Mine also will automatically turn off if its knocked over.Far safer than a gas heater, especially if you have small children.

A fan heater is always a good idea if termastatic. We have used one in the trailer tent off of the EHU without any problems, 2kw on max setting for a shorttime whike taking the chill off then on a lower setting for several hours at a time. These can be bought cheaply from almost anywhere.

  Like mi-mi i would say go for the halogen . If you knock it over it automatically shuts off, gives great heat (won"t dry the air) and the lovely glow makes you feel snug.

Hi. We use a slimline electric radiator ( I think we got it from B&Q ?)

It took the chill out of the tent and can be left on all night. It certainly kept us warm.

i wouldnt risk electric blankets in a tent if they get wet while you using them you may get more than a sun tan
