I need to buy a new double sleeping bag as our cheapie Argos one does not quite 'cut the mustard' in anything but warm nights.

1) What weight should I be looking for with spring to October camping in mind and

 2) can anyone recommend from experience particular makes etc which are not too much on the pricey side

and finally - 3) is it better to buy a double one or two singles which zip together?

Thanks   Paul

Have a look for Vango Orion King size and zip them together.

Thats what we do and they are three season bags. Have been great this year both on hot nights and not so hot nights.

I think ours came from Wilddays

We only go camping to see what we have forgotten and what we need to get for next time. If only we could remember where we put the list..................

We got one of these the other day                          http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=3801&productId=148672&clickfrom=name

Not used it yet but it's big and looks really warm and a bargain at a half-price £14.99.Says it will cope with minus 6C. Only downside is only one side has a zip.
Oh and just you try getting it back in the stuff bag - managed it in the end!
