Hi guys - does anyone have any experiences (good or bad)of caravan covers. I've looked at various manufacturer's information and surprise surprise each one seems to think that their material is the best! Most of the 'made for the van' ones seem to be at least £300 or so and the universal ones about half this cost.

Are they any good and is it worth the extra for made to measure?

Chris

i have thought about them, but would be concerned on a few things such as, do they hold the damp underneath causing a problem to the van and also i have heard that some can scratch the van with the wind moving it,

the idea that i was the van at the end of the season and tuck up for the winter and its clean come spring does appeal though. none of that horrible green and black stuff to wash off.

I have a breathable one and would say that if you want it to keep the van clean and free from tree sap, dust, general airborne mess they are fine. If you want a gleaming van each time the cover comes off - buy some cleaner !

Mine is a cheap n chearful £100.00 towsure jobbie and its fine for the entire year. During summer keeps dust off when in storage (wew keep the van on a farm) and in Winter keeps the muck off as I dnt want to clean 26ft of caravan 3 times a month !
