Never had an EHU or a generator, nor do I have plans to get either . Have never quite understood the ire that these generators seem to create, when many of the people who complain think nothing of running tv sets in a tent! There just seems to be double standards somewhere here.
No I do not want a noisy generator running ... anymore then I want a TV blaring all night but if there is an agreed time for these things running after which there is shutdown ... and a decibel limit that is sensible for generators cannot we live and let live....

I'm glad that I didn't read about problems with solar panels before I bought mine, I have never had a problem with solar no mater what the weather, just get a decent one not a £30 type.
I run colour TV a freeveiw digi box, not all day just 2 or 3 hrs a night with my 3 amp panel, a smaller panel would be ok in the summer but still about 30 watts
