Here is an idea, use a map. Never had any problems leaving it on display!! Or using it in public.
Technology for technologies sake. I have been all over Europe without any problems, even up to the artic circle.
I do feel sorry thou for people that have invested in them and had them nicked.
Merry Christmas
You could argue that with all sorts of technology to make life easier, power steering, air con, electric windows. I don't have to keep pulling over to check my location, I can relax knowing that if I do take a wrong turn I will be re-routed instantly, and although they are not infallible, they are a God send on a rainy night in a strange place.

I feel sorry for those people who have them full stop. I love my map. OH drives, I navigate (yes some of us women are better and it that the OH).
We've been up some lovely litte lanes round Helston when the main roads are well blocked.
Cumbria is a joy off the beaten track.
Makes the journey more adventurous.
And my tatty old map will never get stolen.
Merry Christmas everyone.
I too have used my trusty map over the last couple of years, but as a single person caravanner, at times, I cannot drive and check the map at the same time. I hope the purchase of my TT300 will allow for safe travel when alone. When we go together, I am not in such a privilaged position to have a partner who can reliably read a map
