I've just found the Duuo trailer on the internet and it looks perfect for my requirements. Is everyone still pleased with their trailers?
Also can you recommend online and real retailers of these where I can get a good price and more importantly choose the extras such as covers? I am Midlands based.
I have some other questions:
Has anyone looked at the larger Duuo Plus?
Are there any "must have" accessories?
What is the depth like - it looks rather shallow to me from pictures
Do you think I could store it loaded, stood up on its tail in my garage before a trip?

Still very pleased with the Duuo. Had it a while now and had no problems with it. I used it yesterday to take a sofa to the recycling unit without the box attached, just using the flat bed. Really handy. I find the extra depth of the Duuo really useful for all the camping gear too. It tows effortlessly and goes where you want it to when reversing. If you do decide on the Duuo and wish to keep it stood up in the garage make sure you have enough height. I recently moved and the towing hitch only just fits between the ceiling joists of my garage - it's a bugger to get out.
You can't store it loaded, it has to be empty as the chasis takes up the entire box when stored. Apart from that it is probably the most useful thing in my garage and I would definately reccommend one.
Just taken delivery of a Erde 193 so our Erde122 is for sale, has new flat cover, new 30cm high extension with cover, new spare wheel and carrier, little use always dry stored.

This is our smaller DUUO trailer with load bars. We love it. Notice that fitting the load bars does make fitting the trailer cover a bit fiddly and it's not completely water tight. We take care to load the trailer with things that can get wet on the outer edges.
We've had problems with the lights on the DUUO we think that this is because we store it outside and so water collects in the lighting board. We rigged up a tarp cover for it that has helped but we have a separate lighting board for carrying the bikes on the back of the car so we got an extension lead for that. So if necessary we can hang that of the back of the trailer. I think the DUUO design could be improved with a removable lighting board.
Unfortunately I can't see your photo - it would be good to see the load bars.
We also have problems with the lights and I plan to swap the lamp clusters for LED units in the hope that they will be more reliable.
I've been thinking about how I could expand the capacity on mine. So far I think I will extend upwards by making a frame, but I cannot decide whether to buy a deeper cover or make sides for the extension. In addition I need to find a way to store any extension inside the trailer when not it use.
modified my duuo with a cage on the top had a new cover made ,cost me £160 all in means i can chuck the light stuff in the top (beds clothing ect) can be just unbolted for winter if ya need it .#
modded the stupid jockey wheel drilled the bar sleeved and welded tube to add strentgh now wheel doesnt flop when moving it about
i,m lucky as i have storage towed it about 400 miles so far ,no problems and makes reversing easier as i can see it out of the rear window !

Hey our Duuo looks the same as yours, we too have the cage top. Hinged at the caster end with gas strutts to keep it up when loading and unloading. All removable so can still store it in shed. Hhad ours about two years now been to and from Norfolk 3 times
How oftern should you service it? ie wheel bearings,
Has anyone got thoughts, like me, of ripping out the frame and canvas from an old trailer tent?
We've not long had our Venus and I love it, but now the O.H has got the camping bug and is been nagging me to get a caravan, dammit!
The thought of a trailer, 6 x 4 ft, with stowage boxes to the sides, a couple of drawers to the front and a front A-frame box appeals to me, plus you also have the soft cover. I've seen plenty oldies advertised.
Just a thought.

I've seen a few unfortunate trailer tents get offered for trailer conversion and have seen a couple about so can be done. The DUUO is the one I would like as I would need to store it in the back garden which means getting through a 3ft gate, I like the idea of the top cage too.

i havnt hinged it as its made from box section ,the rear has a swing door that allows full loading ,the hieght is a meter inside from base to under top
