Back to Tilley's! Anyway, I rang Tilley to ask advise about respraying the small copper tank. They said tank doesn't get hot so just rib down and use a car primer / paint spray, then laquer and hey presto and new Tilley lamp!

just a point about witch lamp is the brightest,tilley has 1 mantle while some colemans have 2 and there is still nothing in it !

breezy if you want big eel use chop worm and caster in feeder, air injected lobs on hook, thunderstorm and a coleman to see what your doing

On the brightness issue ,having seen a relatives twin (small) mantled coleman in operation I would say my tilley is brighter when its working at its best .

Ray, if you take a look at my website you'll see that we already catch plenty of eels... along with pike and zander.

It's the thought of wrestling with a 9lb wriggly monster that appeals to me (those of you who are not anglers can clear your dirty, smutty minds right now!!!LOL).

And anyway, Tilley is the the brightest... just.

just finished respraying lamp and it has come up like new. Quick rubdown, grey primer, red car paint, rubdown then laquer and good as new.
