Guys,
just ordered this from M&S - placed an order for £20ish, and needed something to take it over £30 to get the free delivery.
Spotted this set, and thought it looked pretty good, and the dimensions sound like they would both fit on my newly purchased Coleman Duel Fuel twin burner stove.
For a description go to: www.marksandspencers.co.uk
Search for item number: 06722944
Price is £9.50
Just wondering it it is suitable, or whether I should cancel the whole order pronto!
Many thanks
Dan

Hi Dan, I saw these myself and was going to buy them along with the 3 Stainless Steel Saucepans at £9.50 so that I don't have to keep taking my owns pots etc from home.
Personally I think boths sets look like a real bargain.

Agreed, nice price for M&S, so long as you can squeeze them in. ------------- Is there alcohol in it?

Brilliant, thanks guys, I was waiting for the 'they are not suitable' for camping reply!
I had noticed the saucepn set, but it hadn't occurred to me.....
We have a reasonable set of pans, is it likely to do any damage using them on a stove?
Pardon my stupidity, but what will the griddle be best for?
And what are the benefits over a frying pan, ie what do the slots achieve?
Regarding saucepans, would these not do the trick? http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8605971.htm
Thanks
Dan

In my case, limited space means going for a camping orientated set. But if you have the space, why not.
Griddle pans usually allow more fat to be drained away from certain foods when cooking, such as sausages.

I would have thought the plastic handles would be better to isolate from the heat that the metal ones too no?
Doh, just checked and they seem to be out of stock in a lot of places

The M&S set looks good to me. Personally we only use a griddle pan and not a normal frying pan - the only thing that I can really think of that you can't cook in the griddle pan that you'd want a frying pan for is fried eggs and we tend not to have eggs when we're camping anyway......so I wonder if you'd use both pans? (we take a crepe pan with the space we save on a frying pan!!)
Having said that the price is good and they should be OK on the Coleman as long as they've got fairly solid bottoms - we warped a cheap frying pan last year on it!
