I have heard that the sound from dedicated hands free setups is excellent, but if the tom tom is acceptable I can kill 2 birds with one stone.  Just need to convince o/h that her navigating wont cope with our trip to france this summer.

If motorola is supported then I should be ok.  I didn't know that bluetooth had compatibility problems, but then I have never used the bluetooth potential of the phone yet. I'll check the website before buying.

The wife is getting me a tomtom for my birthday can't wait to try it out.

I have a tom tom and as for bluetothh well it works great but (you knew there was a but coming) they cant hear me. the sound from the unit is superb but the mic is just to far away.

They sell a mic that you can plug in (£14) well worth it.

Just a word of caution, if you are going to buy one...WAIT as the new models are coming out during this month they are the 510,710 and 910.
