We're off to France in June. As we are taking mobile phones (hopefuly only for emergencies) and digital camera (we took over 250 photos (in 3 weeks) last year on our trip to the Dordogne!) was thinking of getting one of those adapter things that go in the cigarette lighter with a 3 pin plug adapter on the end. Have tried to find something on the internet but don't know what their proper name is! Can anyone help? And where would be the best place to buy?
Seems a long process. I have a mobile charger that goes directly into the cig. lighter socket and charges up my mobile. You appear to be suggesting to use an inverter then transform down again to charge the mobile. It will be far more efficient, and take up less space, if you get an in car charger. I also have an in car charger for my camera batteries, Jessops was the source, very helpful.
