we have a 2005 avondale argente with an alko 3004 hitch we have seen a new design alko hitchlock (the new box actually says new design on it) in our local dealers for £64 it states you can use the lock whilst towing. However a friend of ours has sold his van (changed to motor home) and is selling his alko hitch lock which is about 3 years old and we dont know if the new model is better or if the one he is selling will do the job just as well. We mainly want it for when we are towing and stop off in services etc...........
Ours is a 2003 model and we can lock it, when parked, to the car. Bit dangerous to use them when actually towing incase you need to get it off quick in an accident.
