Has anyone got any experience of towing with a Vectra? We're looking at a 52 reg  2.2 diesel sxi and wondered what they were like before we take the plunge. Any info appreciated

I think this should be a good tow car as I used to tow with a 2.0lTD and it was very good to to with so the 2.2TDI should be a lot better you might have to keep an eye on your speed though

I have an 04 2.0 DTI Vectra and tow an 85 Pennine Clubman quite happily.

2nd Reedrider, be carefull of the speed, you can often forget that you are towing.

Often go to Plymouth on the M5 and the Vectra handles the Exeter racecourse hill quite happily (down to 45 mind).

 We tow a Compasse Rallye GTE 4 berth with a Vectra 1.8 and she tows like a dream .

We tow a pennine sterling 510 folding camper with a 1.6 rover 400 petrol with NO problem what so every that sounds like luxury towing compared to ours.

We used to tow with a 53 reg vectra 1.8 petrol so a 2.2 diesel should be brilliant as we never had a problem with ours and it towed like a dream we are only getting rid of it coz hubby has a company car
