does anyone know of anything i can use to slightly soften the orange gas pipe, i'm having problems connecting the cooker adapter part, it does'nt seem to go on all the way, my hands are killing me trying to push it further, any advise would be great, thanks.

Why not put it in a mug of boiling water to soften it.

hi  you could try letting the end soak in boiling water  for a few minutes, it should soften it up enough to be able to push it on the regulator

a small bit of vasaline on the regulator helps too just helps it to slip on

When on the campsite, spit on or lick the end of the hose. Helps it slide on more easily.

If you soften up the end with boiling water you might just end up with a hose that`s too loose for a good fit, so once it`s on, use a jubilee clip to secure it tightly.
