Hope someone can help us here. We've bought an Erde 122 trailer and want a hitch lock that secures the trailer to the car. We originally bought an SAS "original" hitched/unhitched lock which is supposed to fit a Winterhoff towing bracket, but it doesn't fit ours. Can anyone suggest an alternative hitchlock?
Someone on here suggested in another thread that you put a padlock through the chain that you put on the hitch before you put the trailer on. This means that someone would have to hacksaw through the chain before stealing the trailer.
This is what we do. You can just add the padlock before you leave the car and trailer.

We bought our Erde 122 from Halfords this year and I bought a lock at the same time, Twisted the key off the first time I tried it so that soon got returned to Halfords.
I like the idea of a padlock through the chain though.
