Might be a strange request but is there a fly type mesh (like the no-see-em mesh doors on tents) that fit windows on cars/caravans etc.
Was camping last weekend and had to sleep in the car on the last night (no, the missus didn't through me out but it's a long story ), as it was a warm night I had to open the car windows a bit but this led to an army of gnats and midges mistaking me for a ship in Pearl Harbour and dive bombed me repeatly
Just wondering as caravan and motorhome owners must need there windows open on a warm night how they stop the blighters entered their air space?

Never be afraid to try something new, remember.... Amateurs built the 'Ark'... but Professionals built the 'Titanic' !!!
I got one of those fly mesh screens off ebay for the back door at home, living in the middle of a farmyard means we have millions of flies in the kitchen without something. It is very good, just really sticky backed velcro attached to the door frame then the netting on top, it may work out cheaper to just get the bits from a haberdashers and cut them to size rather than get from ebay though, as that's all there is to it.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
