How easy are these things to get started on? Just been bought one by ohs' parents an early b/day pressy but I get to check it out 1st

dead easy. Type in the post code and house number thats it. If you don't know the post code then town and street name will get you there. No programing, no techy stuff, easy. The 500 has all of the UK and the major routes..motorways and A roads.. of Europe. You can if you fell you must download additional "points of intersest" These could be speed(sorry safety) cameras or CC sites, Tesco's etc. there are loads to download.

Dont forget to fully charge it. Also if you're journey is longer than 2hrs you will need to plug it in the ciggy lighter.

I have the Tom Tom 300 and think they are superb.............
They only have a rechargeable battery thats built in. You can purchase a mains charger for it however. you will only get around 3 hours per charge tho so may be worth getting ciggarette lighter fixed.
