i think you will spend a lot of money on either a 15 or 17 inch, theres been a few post on this 8" screen 240 & 12v looks good but 8 at is small but if you only use it for camping then its fine, 8" tv
bought a relisys 15in lcd tv from asda for £150, came with a 240 to 12v adaptor which plugs into rear of tv , I use it at home in the kitchen, & take it with us camping, but as we are always on ehu its always on mains, but assume it would be fine on 12v as long as the polarity is correct on 12v supply! so possibly medium sized lcd tvs require less power than crt tvs hence the 12v inlet?
Bought our 15"lcd from woolworths £179 saving £100(technosonic......!!!!!) has a socket for 12v but we just plug the mains adaptor into the inverter for 12v and we hardly used the battery power this weekend.
We also bought a 15" Technosonic from Tesco's £169 just saw them this week at £159 I'd take mine back & get the tenner back but it was nearly 3 weeks ago. The TV works great though I even had a picture without plugging the aerial in.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
