Please help.

I'm relatively new to camping and am unsure whether to buy a electric coolbox with mains adapter or a Waeco/Sibir fridge with regards to performance. Are the coolboxes good enough to chill warm cans of drink or wine, or would the waeco be better?

Thanks,

Paul

the other fridges you mention i believe are even capable of making ice, something which the plug in cool boxes which chill to 18 degrees, (approx) below ambient temp arent, (unless its 10 degrees outside perhaps! )

welcome to UKCS BTW!!

If weight is a consideration; think about the Koolmate.

The KoolMate 24 sounds ace!  Does anyone know where I can get one?  A search on Google didn't come up with much.  Any cheap ones around?  Thanks.

We've got the waeco combicool, you can make ice on the little shelf bit (or keep lollies frozen). We plug it in the car when we are travelling and used to run it on gas in the utility tent, we've now got a tt with ehu so plug it in now. It works great all ways, would really recommend one.

I've seen a sunngas 35ltr 3 way fridge. Has anybody got experience of those. They seem a bit smaller than the equivalents?

we have the sibir 35 litre (very very pleased with it) and if you are talking space inside it was more than adequate for a family of four, if you are talking overall size then great as the less space your fridge takes up the better.
