I bought a convertor in Lidl yesterday for £8.99.  Has anybody else got one, and tried it yet?  I tried it at home with our new Igloo 40.  It worked, but I only tried it for a few minutes.  I thought it was quite good value, but will it last?

Hi do you mean a inverter? 12v to 240v sounds a good price what wattage are they?

Apparently it's a transformer. On the box it says incoming voltage 220-240v ~ 50hz.  Outgoing voltage 13v

On the instructions it says the voltage of the electronic appliances must be 12v and must not exceed the power consumption of 65w

Does that tell you the wattage?  cos it doesn't say anything to me!!

It also says its not intended for use with compressor cool boxes.  Does that include my Igloo 40?

have been using a converter for our elec coolbox for a few years now dont always  take ehu but at £9.00 its a bargain money well spent as you can also use it on airbeds(a lot quicker and safer than running down the car battery)well done happy trails
