After thinking long and hard I've decided that a 3 way fridge for our 10 days in France camping is a necessity not a luxury. Been looking at the Mobicool- World of Camping have it at £144.95 +delivery, have any of you used this company, are they OK?
Also know SIBIR do one but can't seem to find it on any sites, is it better/worse than the Mobicool- main consideration is price first then size as our 306 will be packed to the rafters!
Lots of questions I know but this is quite an expensive addition to our kit so want to make the right decision
the mobicool is 40ltrs and excellent we recently purchased one for our first camping week away and i cant praise it enough, however you will need to allow space as its not small ! although you can pack stuff inside it and its not to heavy when empty
We have just had the same question for a month trip to France. In the end bought a Mobicool from World of Camping. Ordered one day dispatched the next and arrived the next no problems. Only tried it in the kitchen on electric but seemed great. We will run it on campingaz so also got the other bits when we ordered. You will need hose clips and regulator for gas. It is big and will take up a good chunk of our Vectra boot but like yourselves we decided it was a neccessity.
An excellent addition. I bought the 3 way fridge from towsure and used it for the first time 2 weekends ago running off camping gaz. It certainly takes up some boot space but well worth it.
I have the combicool(same as mobicool) and its brillient, when you run it on gas dont have it on full as it will freeze your milk, my sister has the Sibir fridge and thats good too, the only difffrence is the size Combicool 40 ltr, Sibir 35 ltr, theres only my sister and her boyfriend so they say the 35 ltrs is big enough, but theres four of us so we have the 40ltr, even if there was only two of us Id still go for the bigger one, as then you can get your food as well as wine/beer/soft drinks in.
Thanks for all your help guys, looks like it's going to be the Mobicool as it seems to be rated very highly in this and other threads. Still really worried about space though, car was absolutely packed for 3 days in Cornwall last month, so with the fridge and the extra kit required for 10 days looks like my wife may be staying at home!
