I'd snap their hand off for that money (if it's new) - I paid around £35 for mine on Ebay - second hand but good condition.

New they're normally around the £60 - £70 mark depending on where you get them from - I'm sure you could probably get them cheaper with a bit of surfing though.

This seems to be a cracking price:  http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.towsure.com/product.asp?p=1478

In answer to your earlier questions, when you're not using the stove, the fuel tank detaches from the front (still full of fuel) and stores inside the stove.

It will be burn for well over an hour on full blast with a full tank and holds just over a litre of unleaded (whatever price that is nowadays) so you can judge for yourself how economical that is!  Word of warning though - they are bloody powerful - much more than gas - so your stuff boils or cooks much quicker and isn't effected by wind or cold weather.

If you do a search on Coleman on this site, there's loads of threads about them - they really are superb.

Well, I did it and took the plunge! After searching around for cheaper I found that this was the cheapest and bought it quick!! I've just had an e-mail from the seller offering me the duel fuel lantern for £19.99 for no extra p&p - wondering if that's a good deal - going to shop around for prices for that as well now!!

Thanks for all the advice.

Depends which model of lantern - there's a single mantle, double mantle, double mantle powerhouse or nightstar so make sure you know which one he's offering and then check the prices on:

Either way it seems like a bargain as the cheapest one on Wildday is £34.99 so you may be well sorted and they really are superb - we have the Powerhouse and it's fantastic.  You have the added advantage of only having to carry around one fuel-type for both your cooking and your lighting.
