My response was also tongue in cheek, but someone did mention using a tumble drier in a laundrette which can destroy the waterproofing in some waterproofs or even melt them.
Don't let my missus see the post, she already wants to take most of the kitchen if she gets the tumble drier into her head, there'll be no stopping her. I'll be towing with a 7.5 ton wagon!
