We have a new trailer tent and would like to know if anyone can reccommended what sort of lanterns to get to hang up at night? They will have to be battery operated but am kind of new to this and would benefit from someones expert knowledge please!! Not sure if they have to be very bright or if the mini ones do or if some are to heavy to hang????!!!!???
Not totally sure what to recommend as we have EHU now. Last year though we did have a battery operated lantern with a remote control key ring that OH bought from Aldi. It wasn`t that heavy either. As for brightness it depends what you want it for? I would go to your local Argos and ask if you can view some and just check the weight etc. I am sure you would get some good advice from any camping shop as well.
Hopefully someone will be along soon who can answer your question better.
I would go for a couple of 12v 8w strip lights, you can pick them up from most camping shops for about £9, they come with cables and utility socket connector. Buy a couple of small 12v batteries again about £9.
When one runs flat switch to spare whilest other is getting charged onsite, or buy a cheap leisure battery.
Hi
We've got this one HiGear Rechargeable Lantern and been really pleased with it. We give it a good charge from the mains before we go, then during the day if driving around we plug it into the car socket (comes with cigarette lighter adaptor) to keep it charged.
Best light i have ever got was the Nitepalm Field Lamp. May be a little more pricey, but you definately get what you pay for! It's only a small lamp and produces loads of light.
