Buy the proper kit, which can be bought for about £60 nowadays.
A small price to pay for the safety of your family. There's umpteen threads on this subject and I'd advise you to take a good look at them
But The Class of Cable, Pin Plug Extension Unit and RCD by the times you buy put together you may as well pay the extra £15 or so you would have saved and bought a proper unit, dissagree with the ebay advice you will get a good bargain if you look, general rule being if its to cheap its not the right thing.
Your looking to spend around the £60 mark how ever Towsure were knocking them out at around £47 if there still on the site
